Dr. Ekechi has an enviable multidisciplinary background in Marketing, Communications, Branding and Strategy. A Business mogul with over 30 years of active experience in professional business administration. He envisioned and established two multimedia companies (Marketing & Media Limited and Allianz Media Limited respectively) which have been in business for over the years. He also has interest in Commodity Brokerage, Security and Logistics.
Dr. Ekechi holds a Bachelor of Science degree and MBA both in Marketing from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; D. Litt. (Honaris Causa), University of Berkley, Michigan, USA and PhD in Strategic Management and Leadership from University of America, Chicago. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma of the Chartered Inst. of Marketing, Berkshire, England (CIM); Fellow, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (fnimn); Fellow, National Institute of Direct Marketing of Nigeria (fnidmn). An active member of various professional bodies including OAAN.
He was a Former Special Adviser to the Minister of Interior of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Imo State, former Director, Election Planning and Monitoring, BUHARI Presidential Campaign Council and a former Board Member, North East Development Commission.
